It must be a Spring time thing... as I am experiencing a high speed stream of incoming stuff worthsharing, so from now until.... who knows when, ill be writing to you in bite-size pieces of goodness.
It's just a croissant: I was at Whole Foods the other day --- aka the mecca of everything you want but can only afford 10% of-- when my polite (and reasonable request) to make a custom sandwich was met with "Sorry, we don't have a code for that". Um, yeah, I thought, but that's why you have a brain.
last Bite- Don't settle for the "this is how we do things, here" narrative. People only say "no" because they've been trained to think that they can't think for themselves. Help them see otherwise. Steer the world away from automation. (plz)
His name is AL: I got a new co-worker this week and ohhhhh boy is he a pot of gold. Talkative, eccentric and most importantly, a writer. (synchronicity, you da best.) Within hours of occupying the same 10 square feet he plunged into describing something that literally had me in deep thought all thought-out the drive home. "I realized I didn't need my eyes". Huh? OK, so the story goes like this: he was listening to the radio one day (in his cabin in Maine --- naturally) and realized that in order to do that, he didn't need to have his eyes open.
Last bite: Have you ever wondered how you can use less of something in order to enjoy more of something else? Yeah, he said, I realized I was okay with not needing to know what I didn't need to know, in that moment. Blew my mind!
Happy Friday and welcome to the new and re-imagined, CRUMBS, the blog that delivers meaningful, itty bitty, real life moments to tickle your mind and delight your heart.
